About the event
Class overview: A selection of the following will be taught, but not limited to these topics.
- Backcombing/teasing properly to create a foundation and height
- Smoothing over teasing to create a crisp and clean finish
- How and when to use hairspray to make it hold but not become flaky
- How and when to cut hair, if needed, to help you create the shape you want
- How to blend portions of the hair to create one unified look and not disjointed sections
- Washing and Drying a wig
- How to make the ends of your wig revived with using hot tools or a steamer
- How to do a proper roller set, and how to look at a style to help you determine proper roller set
- Determining what length of hair you should be using for certain hair styles
- What tools are needed to create and maintain your wigs
- Plus more that's not listed
Participants should bring their own wigs, wig heads, brushes, etc. as very limited tools will be available. (I have a few wig blocks, table stands, teasing brushes, brushes, combs, and hairspray.)
This class is not about finished wigs, but the styling tips and tricks to help you create your dream wig.
During the class, Kyle will choose participants to work with 1 on 1 as the others follow along.
